Overview of Services

The mission of the Sequencing and Microarray Facility is to support genomics research at MDACC by providing investigators with access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and a high level of technical expertise in a centralized facility, thereby minimizing the duplication of expensive equipment, maintaining technical excellence and enhancing research collaborations. The facility’s primary focus is sequencing and microarray technologies.

Microarray Services

The SMF’s microarray service offers a comprehensive set of integrated gene expression services that facilitate studying the role of genomic alterations and transcriptional regulation of genes.  


Single Cell Analysis

The Fluidigm C1™ Single-Cell Auto Prep system employs microfluidic technology to isolate, process and prepare individual cells for downstream analysis. The C1 system isolates single cells into individual reaction chambers in Fluidigm's integrated fluidic circuit (IFC).
