ALERT 
The Sequencing and ncRNA Program (ncRNA core), led by Chang-Gong Liu, Ph.D., is a shared resource established in 2009 to support ncRNA cancer research efforts at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Institutions under the UT system. The core has been well equipped with updated, emerging and cutting-edge technologies and platforms, such as next generation sequencing and microarray, to explore genetic changes of both RNA and DNA levels. The NGS services provided in this core are whole genome resequencing, targeted genome (exome, CHIPseq, amplicons) sequencing, whole transcriptome RNA sequencing, targeted RNA sequencing and small RNA sequencing by using highly accurate NGS sequencers of Illumina NextSeq series, Ion Torrent PGM and Ion Proton. The microarray-based services also are provided for RNA expression profiling and DNA genotyping. In addition, the core has recently acquired HTG Edge system to work directly on the most difficult samples of FFPE, plasma/serum and PAXgene for miRNome and targeted RNA sequencing.
