MDACC Microbiome Core

Overview of Services

The mission of the Microbiome Core Facility is to support the research at MD Anderson Cancer Center by providing high quality of sequencing technologies to profile microbiota for microbiome studies.

The services provide by the core include:

  • Consultation on experimental design of microbiome studies and assistance with data analysis
  • 16S rRNA Sequencing, Shotgun Metagenomic Sequencing and DNA isolation for gut microbial profiling
  • Providing bioinformatics pipeline to assist data analysis of 16S sequencing results
