Overview of Services

Welcome to the Texas Extracellular Vesicle Biology Core (EVcore) at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center! The EVcore is a first-of-its-kind resource in the state of Texas, funded by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT), to advance extracellular vesicles-related research and translational medicine. EVcore provides support for extracellular vesicles and exosomes research and clinical translation spanning fundamental biology studies to engineering and manufacturing.  

EVcore supports cancer and non-cancer related projects across academia and industry.

Investigators seeking support for cancer-related projects will receive prorated fees and service priority, consistent with the purpose and objectives of CPRIT. 

For academic projects determined to be cancer-related, the core facility administration will apply a CPRIT discount (25-35%) to the listed service price. Revised pricing will be reflected in the quote issued to each user. CPRIT discounts vary by service and user's institutional affiliation, but are reviewed and approved by MD Anderson's Core Facility Oversight Board. A list of all rates, with and without the cancer-related CPRIT discount, may be previewed on our website. 

New users: Please submit a Project Intake Form so that EVcore administration can best assist you in fulfilling the needs of your project. Upon completing the Project Intake Form, staff will schedule a consultation with you free-of-charge.

Returning users: EVcore administration can continue to enter service requests on your behalf to ensure proper application of discounted rates.
